What is STL?

STL (Stereolithography) is the standard format for 3D printing. It stores raw triangle mesh data — vertices and face normals — without any material, color, or texture information.

Who uses STL?

The primary format for 3D printing (used by every slicer software), CAD export from SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, FreeCAD, and medical/scientific 3D visualization.

Why view STL online?

STL files typically require CAD software or slicer applications to view. Trice opens them instantly in your browser with proper lighting and camera controls. You can also add materials after loading.

How it works

Yes. Any STL file from any source — Cura, PrusaSlicer, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Thingiverse — can be viewed.

Yes. After viewing, you can export an optimized GLB file — useful for sharing 3D prints on the web.
